ECD in the SDGs

The Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC) celebrates the inclusion of ECD in the 2030 agenda for global development. Early Childhood Development (ECD) is the foundation for sustainable development. In the words of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon: “The Sustainable Development Goals recognize that early childhood development can help drive the transformation we hope to achieve over the next 15 years. ” ECD can transform individuals, communities and societies.
